Really loved this place. My Prime Rib was delicious, as was the other food. Service was great, and it's in a really cool location in historic Gloucester. Can't wait to come back!!!

Absolutely amazing food and even sweeter staff! We stopped in for dinner with our family and were blown away. The crab potato skins (that homemade ranch dip - wow!!) and seafood chowder were incredible, and the steak Olivia and crab cakes were both perfection. Our waitress, Candi, was the absolute best. She was so kind, attentive, and genuinely made us feel welcome. 10/10 experience all around. It’s such a great family restaurant, and we can’t wait to try the owners’ other two local spots. Highly recommend!!

What an adorable little place on Main Street in Gloucester - my first visit, and I've been in the area since 1999. I had the black and bleu salad - the steak was perfectly medium rare and the dressing was livened up with a flavor I couldn't identify but it was super tasty. My dining companion had a tuna melt, which looked gorgeous and the fries I stole were crisp and tasty. Our server was a bit surly when we were seated, but improved greatly soon after we ordered. (Everyone has a bad day now and again, and things get crazy around the holidays, so maybe the server was dealing with something that happened before we got there.) The atmosphere is homey and welcoming, the original wood floors are stunning, and one of the servers takes exquisite photos that decorate the walls. The restaurant hums with activity, and it looked like there were a number of locals who dine here regularly. Definitely stop by if you're in the area!

Olivia’s – Where You’re Treated Like Family Olivia’s isn’t just a great restaurant — it’s the kind of place that makes you feel welcomed. It was recommended by our Airbnb host and also a favorite of many past guests, according to the guestbook. So we decided to try it and we’re so glad we did! The food was excellent — we ordered the Seafood Olivia and the Tortellini with Shrimp, both packed with flavor and beautifully prepared. I have a shellfish allergy, and the owner personally made sure my dish was customized without scallops. It wasn’t just a note to the kitchen — he took the time to talk with us, ask questions, and really make sure everything was perfect. What stood out most, though, was the sense of community. The owner clearly knew many of the locals. He spent time getting to know us too, making conversation and creating a genuine connection. We loved the experience so much, we came back two days later on our last night in Gloucester — and the moment we walked in, he greeted us warmly and remembered exactly what we had ordered. That kind of attention and care is rare these days, and it left a lasting impression. Set along a charming downtown strip in Gloucester, Olivia’s offers great food, personal service, and a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel like family. We’ll be thinking about this place long after we leave — a true favorite!

It was really nice over all. The pancakes were good, the sausage patties were really good. Some of the best I’ve had. Haven’t been here before but it was a really good experience since I’m not really a big breakfast person. There was also a lot of beautiful pictures taken by one of the waiters. It was great!

It’s been about a year since we made it to Gloucester. We always stop at Olivia’s when we come through. Called ahead to see if there was some outdoor seating as we had our dog with us. Thankfully there was and it’s dog friendly. We started out with the crab potato skins and complimentary rolls. I got the prime rib special which was good. We also got tortellini with blackened chicken. The tortellini was amazing, the sauce was creamy and not watered down like most places anymore. In past we have gotten sandwiches and burgers which are also good. Out of the restaurants around here it was definitely my favorite.

The 3 of us came in the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Each of us ordered something different from the menu. The chowder was described as the best they'd ever eaten. It came in a good size bowl with crackers. The BBQ was tender, juicy and had just the right amount of sauce. Oysters were large and there were plenty! The french fries had the exact amount of crunch. Glancing around we could see a huge salad that looked fresh and delicious. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.
